Lassen Volcanic National Park
October 9th, 2006After Sierra Bible Camp, our family visited Lassen Volcantic National Park.
Lassen Peak developed as a vent on the ancient Mt. Tehama. Lassen Peak rises to 10, 457 feet. Lassen Peak erupted in 1915.
The park features lava pinnacles, lave flow mountains, crater and steaming sulphur vents. The volcanic activity created canyons, lakes and streams.
